Bread Shelf

Artisanal Bread

We produce over 6 different styles of breads, and an additional 10 seasonal breads throughout the year using a European-style hearth oven.

We take no shortcuts in producing our loafs. No preservatives or artificial ingredients in any of our bread. We have a passion for old world tradition, quality, and producing a superior taste like no other in the triangle.

All breads are hand crafted by owner Norbert Gstattenbauer and baked each morning.

Keeping Your Bread Fresh

Our bread is always baked fresh each day. To preserve the crisp crust, store bread in a paper bag until ready to eat. Avoid plastic bags unless you desire a softer crust. Store at room temperature and avoid direct sunlight. Avoid the refrigerator as it dries out the bread more quickly. To warm bread, place in an oven pre-heated to 375˚F for 5-7 minutes. Freeze portions of bread you do not plan to eat in 48 hours.

To defrost the bread, remove bread from freezer and let defrost at room temperature. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and place wrapped loaf in a preheated oven at 375˚F for 10-15 minutes. The aluminum foil will act like a steam chamber to re-crisp the crust.
